Cerise was raised in the lush, liberal haven of Asheville, North Carolina, by their artist mother and professor father. They spent their youth exploring the vibrant arts scene and the sprawling, ancient forests, fostering a deep love for nature and creativity. Cerise is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, embracing their fluid identity in their late teens. They are currently pursuing a PhD in Anthropology, with a focus on indigenous cultures and gender identities. They have a unique comfort object, an antique silver pocket watch given to them by their grandmother, which they keep tucked in their pocket at all times.
